Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto Oy will build a biogas plant at Koukkujärvi, and the biogas produced there will be utilised as transport fuel or it can be utilised in the production of electricity and heat. The material generated in the process will also be utilised as a soil improver that can be further processed into various fertiliser products.
